Let us say that once upon a time in a not-so-perfect world anyone was allowed to say anything, absolutely anything, on his mind, even if evidence suggested he didn’t have one, even if it wasn’t true. Let us push the fantasy farther by positing that this unlikely situation extended even to public mediums such as television and radio.
In this world there might be a bloviating person anchoring both a radio and television show established firmly in a spot know as the “No Sin Zone” because the anchor considers himself to be beyond mistake. Let us call him “Bill Unlikely”.
Would anyone in this fantasy world take Bill seriously when he proclaimed that the new president, not yet even in office, is ‘rolling back all the safety provisions put in place by the outgoing administration over the last eight years”?
In a fantasy world, the answer would be ‘not likely; in this world ‘quite likely’ might be closer………..sigh.
