Dionne and Will. You would have a difficult time finding two commentators farther apart on the political spectrum than George Will and E. J. Dionne. Nevertheless, they have found common ground: disapproval of Barrack Obama.
According to Mr. Will, President Obama’s approach to the economy will end life as we know it. According to Mr. Dionne, President Obama’s approach to the economy will also end life as we know it.
According to Will, Obama is doing too much, and what he is doing is wrong. According to Dionne, Obama is not doing nearly enough, and that in and of itself is wrong.
If Mr. Obama wastes his time reading the opinion page of the Washington Post as I do each day, and I hope he doesn’t because he has other things to concern him, he must take great comfort from the fact that ‘talking heads’ on both sides are not happy with him, and in America’s politics this usually means you are doing something not based strictly on ideology. Now that’s the change I voted for! If only we could get Rush Poobah and Keith Openmimouth to agree on something; that would certainly end life as we know it.
