Length, Breadth, and Depth….

My wife passed along an interesting question to me. A teacher friend who had all of our children for students asked which one we thought was the ‘smartest’ and then gave us her opinion. I understand her choice, but I think we might be saying ‘smart like I am smart’ when we ask such questions.

All of my children have college degrees. All of them have ample proof of intelligence at reasonably young ages. I would answer the question this way:

One of them is the most passionately intelligent.

One of them is the most deeply intelligent.

One of them is the most eclectically intelligent.

All of them are wonderful and all of them should learn from their siblings.
